At SleepBetterPDX, you will find the guidance and support necessary to remind your body how to fall asleep and stay asleep naturally. Dr. Jerusha Detweiler-Bedell is a licensed psychologist in Portland who works with adults in Oregon who have ongoing trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or getting good-quality sleep. She uses a highly effective insomnia treatment called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). This first-line treatment for insomnia is delivered conveniently by telemedicine and is strongly recommended by both the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Detweiler-Bedell also offers online support for acute and chronic pain as a certified instructor of Empowered Relief®, a scientifically-proven, 2-hour-long class that creates clinically meaningful improvements in pain.
Does it take you a long time to fall asleep?
Do you lie awake, trying as hard as you can to sleep?
Do you wish you could get better-quality sleep?
Do you feel worn out, moody, and distracted?
Put simply, are you tired?
And are you tired of trying to sleep?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you’ve come to the right place. Dr. Detweiler-Bedell offers a comprehensive assessment of your sleep followed by individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia sessions. Her insomnia treatment clients typically complete therapy after 4 to 6 online sessions, offered every other week.
